| Charles, my father, and his brother John owned and operated the first record and music shop in Louisville, KY. Father loved to attend plays at Macauley's Theatre. Promoters would ask Charles and John to show a poster advertising a play at a prominent location in their shop. Father would agree, provided that he be allowed to keep the poster for his private collection at the end of play run. I, Nancy Bowie, inherited the collection.
